Self assessment services under contracts

Post by Debron101 » Tue Jul 21, 2015 10:30 am

Hi
I am completing my partners SA. He is a landscape and general maintenance gardener.
On the 1st page of the self employed part of the form it is asking if he provides "services under contracts for professional or other services and these contracts span my accounting date".
Should I tick this box?

Any help would be much appreciated

It sounds as if you are using the short form for self employment. The question about services under contract is to establish if you are entitled to use the short form.

If you tick the box, you will have to use the full version of the form.

Your partner does not provide services under contract as meant by HMRC.
